009 – Would You Take Less Money To Work From Home?

September 5, 2022

This week Roy tackles another hypothetical!

How much does that commute really cost?

Roy mentions studies showing that full-time workers in the largest cities were spending nearly an hour a day commuting. The average round trip commute in the 100 largest cities is 52 minutes, equating to an average annual opportunity cost of $5,600.

At some point, you’ll be faced with the opportunity to never have to go to an office again.

With that said, hypothetically, would you take $10,000 less knowing that you’re spending these things on going to the office?
